Ultra thin Beta 5-3-3-3 Ti is used in the crown and layered with an advanced carbon fiber to increase strength and redistributed weight to the sole. This creates a trajectory that optimizes spin rates on today's high performance balls. Titanium crown structure gives added support and reduces distance loss due to crown deflection.
Free headcover included in price! Beta Titanium Cut-Out Crown. A composite crown supported by beta titanium is a better method to redistribute weight than composite alone. The titanium structure provides support that prevents the carbon crown from flexing at impact. The result is a more solid feel and longer drives. Internal Weight Pads. The 22 grams removed from the crown is repositioned in two tungsten weight pads. The pads are spot welded into a neutral balanced position low and to the rear of the clubhead. This feature minimizes the head's tendency to twist at impact leading to more accurate drives. Additionally, positioned as they are, the tungsten functions much like the perimeter weighting of a cavity backed iron. The sweetspot is larger and the driver is easier to hit than traditinoally designed titanium drivers.VFT Cup Face. Variable face thickness is progressively thinner on the edge than in the middle.
