The golfing beginner needs a lot of instruction and tips to begin with because golf is a difficult game to master. In my opinion, a good option is to look for trustworthy free golf tips to start your golfing education. That way, you can learn about the different swing techniques, grip styles, golf equipment options, and other areas like bunker shots – all without spending a single penny.

One-On-One Golf Lessons

When you have learned as much as possible from free golf tips, take a few one-on-one golf lessons. After that, you will need to practice at the range and on the course. By this stage you should be at a more consistent level where you can play some decent shots, and not so many bad shots. But to take your game to the next level, you should continue with your golf education.

Golf Lessons Online

Taking golf lessons online could make the difference from shooting scores over 100 or in the 90’s to being able to break 90 or even 80. You will learn how to play golf with more consistency and accuracy, and really start to enjoy the game of golf.

Two of the major benefits of taking golf lessons online are cost and time. For the same amount of money that you would pay for a half hour lesson, you will get 2 or more months worth of golf instruction online. The second benefit is that you can fit these programs into your schedule by practicing the lessons anytime you want, at home or in your office.

A Complete Golf Lesson Every Month

The top golf lessons online that you can find are programs run by professional and experienced coaches. For a very affordable monthly fee, you will receive a lot of information that will take you from a beginner to an advanced golfer. These types of programs give you all this information in an extremely organized way that is easy to follow along.

Each month, you will get lessons on just one area of golf. By the end of the month, you will perfect and master that area – whether it is chipping, putting, driving, or bunker shots. Every single aspect of the game is covered, from the different types of shots to learning the mental game of golf, stretching and flexibility training, and different training aids you can use in-doors.

Many Types Of Golf Resources

A good golf lessons online program will have many resources for you to learn from. These include DVD clips, breakdown sessions and practice drills on online video, tracking worksheets, live teleseminars, worksheets and assignments, evaluation of training aids, and access to a private apprentice forum to get more answers.

Master The Game Of Golf

So, if you want to become a better golfer and master the game, I would suggest that you check out one of these online golf lessons programs. You will get expert help to lower your scores in a convenient and very affordable way. Remember, you can go at your own pace so that there is no excuse that you don’t have time to practice – you will get a specific practice plan that can be done anywhere; at your office, at home, at the range, or on the course.

Golf Drivers of 2009

There are so many companies making golf clubs currently. Every company have so many models which makes for many combinations. If you are a golfer, are you able to pick out the right golf clubs for yourself?

Companies have their own research department and come out with different technologies every year. Scroll more to read about some of the more popular manufacturers.

Cobra Golf may not be the most popular manufacturer out there but it makes a great driver called the Cobra S9-1. Having a street price of $300, it’s not the most expensive driver but it delivers real results. In fact, this driver won the Hot List 2009 gold award for drivers under $300.

Adams Golf is known for its hybrids but they also started to enter the arena of drivers in recent years. Their latest technology, the Adams Insight Tech A4 driver, has a street price of $370 and comes in loft 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5. It has a pretty traditional looking club head, and the curved shape is supposed to save weight.

Callaway Golf is really pushing the envelope with its high end drivers (all its 2009 models are over $350 a piece). They made two drivers. One with a more traditional shape (FT-9) and one a square shape (FT-IQ). Both are amazingly long and Phil is already using the FT-9. He’s not trying crazy things like two drivers though anymore but who knows as he might use the drivers to chip.

Nike Golf has steadily made it into one of the most popular golf manufacturers by signing up Tiger Woods, Anthony Kim and others. In fact, Nike sponsored many of the top golfers in the world and has many amazing drivers.

Titleist was once the king of irons but they’ve lost a tad of prestige in recent years as other manufacturers have caught up with technology and fame. During the last year though, Titleist’s 90X series of drivers have again captured the hearts of many. In fact, the 909D2 is amongst the best drivers (as selected by Golf Digest in The Hot List 2009 gold award for drivers over $350).

Ping Golf’s 2009 value driver offering is the G10. With a street price of only $300, this driver has lofts from 7.5 up to as high as 13.5 degrees. The standard length is well over 45 inches and it might be too long for people to have good control.

Taylormade golf is great because you can actually buy the drivers at Costco for an even better price than it is sold anywhere. The driver is nothing but quality though though. Just watch out for its increased length because it is much of the reason why the ball is going farther.

Cleveland used to be very closed to my old office, but they moved and create the Cleveland Launcher series. Years later, I still play the Launcher 460 Comp from a few years ago and it’s simply amazing. There’s no fitting system from Cleveland though which is a huge disappointment, considering that this is the hottest area in the golf industry right now.

Play These Courses During Your Las Vegas Golf Vacation

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

When you think of Las Vegas, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? You probably imagine the Strip, or think “casino” and “gambling.” Las Vegas is most famous, after all, for its gambling and casinos. You probably didn’t think of golf – maybe you had never heard Las Vegas is a great vacation location for golfers of all skill levels.

I hope that the words “Las Vegas” will remind more people of golf, instead of just gambling. If you’re an avid golfer, Las Vegas is a great place to take your next vacation. Let’s take a quick tour of a few of Las Vegas’s more interesting golf courses.

The Falls Golf Club by Lake Las Vegas: Tom Weiskopf designed this beautiful, luscious course. It’s laid out with different elevations, beautiful waterfalls and incredible vegetation. There’s 100 feet of elevation difference between holes 12-14 and a beautiful view of the valley. Completely incredible!

Snow Mountain at Paiute Resort: Pete Dye designed this relaxing course. The secluded resort is perfect for golfers who like a more private experience. It has wide fairways and enormous greens, but several pot bunkers to add an extra challenge. The course includes a 525-foot par 5 hole with a beautiful green guarded by water. Have fun!

Reflection Bay by Lake Las Vegas: Genius Jack Nicklaus designed this course. He designed it with a unique Southwest Florida theme. But look out for the lake holes. If you make it past the water, you might still fall pray to the many sand traps. This fun course is definitely a course you should plan to see on your Las Vegas golf vacation.

Royal Links Golf Club: This course gives the golfer an opportunity to tackle some British Open-styled holes. The unique clubhouse is castle-shaped. Be sure to watch out for the deep bunkers around the greens. The old Hell Bunker from Saint Andrews is also represented here. Stay away from that bunker if you want to keep your score low!

TPC at the Canyons: This is a desert-experience course. The designers (Ray Floyd and Bobby Reed) were true to the course’s natural setting. They incorporated much of the natural beauty found in this desert oasis. However, you need to watch our for the Death Valley arroyo. It is 30-feet deep in some areas.

I have highlighted only five of these gorgeous and challenging courses. There are many more in the area that will give any golfer enough choices to create an unforgettable experience. So, next time you are planning a golf vacation getaway, think of Las Vegas!

Wet on the Greens? We’ve Got You Covered.

Golf rain gear is essentially used by golfers when the weather is wet. Especially if you play in the northern states that get a lot of rain. Sometimes we dont have a choice but to tough it out through some soggy rounds[I:http://www.golfclubshome.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/GolfGuruGuy0.jpg]

The good news for us weather never-minding golf fanatics is that there any products available to keep our heads dry and our swing unencumbered. The bad news is it can be quite expensive to shop for, if one is unwary. Worry not, though! Golf Guru Guy is on the job, and I’ve got quite the selection for you in our rain gear section.

The obvious items a golfer in the rain needs are a good raincoat and hat. The best fabric is made of Gore-tex, but it Aint cheap. The coat alone could cost you hundreds, with the bucket hats not much cheaper (You think they would get an ugliness discount, but no). Weve seen coats going for as low as $129 that are up to the challenge, as well as some goats. Now, following is a list of a few other items you will need.

The Bag: You want a golf bag that keeps everything dry, from your clubs to that iPod you’d rather not have in your pants while you’re trying to fetch a ball out of a water trap. It’s an essential part of the wet-yip’s arsenal. After all, there’s nothing worse than letting your phone get rained on. Except maybe running it through the wash. Not that I have experience with that, of course…

Fancy Globes for Fancy Men! Those leather gloves of yours may be fine dandy when its dry, Mr. Fancy Pant, but in the rain they become a liability. Once soaked, your grip will be ruined. To prevent you from sending your sand wedge out of the trap with the ball (Just wanted to make sure the ball didnt get any ideas! Right), a pair of rain gloves will go a long way. They grip better the more waterlogged they are, so youll be praying for a monsoon!

Wet Shoes for Dry Feet: Golf shoes that are waterproof are priceless (Though we still managed to find a few good deals for you), as they keep your feet dry and they’re usually guaranteed, to boot! So, even if they do get wet, you’re covered. Just keep the receipt! As your Vietnam veteran golf buddies will tell you, “Keep your feet dry.” Be sure to invest in more than one pair to make sure the shoes have time to dry between rounds, and bring extra socks! Lieutenant Dan will tell you that there’s no such thing as too many socks!

Wind-Proof Umbrellas: Durable golf umbrellas are a must for players seriously considering braving the storm. What better way to keep your equipment dry than to not let it get wet the first place? If youre going to get one, be sure it has vents on the top to keep it from inverting at the worst possible moment.

Well, you can go nuts, but these are the essentials you need to keep that great round going, no matter what Mother Nature has in store for your round Decent golf rain gear is essential if like me, youre mad for golf and play all year round.

You too can be a golf expert just by improving your golf swing. All that you have to do is to go through the tips listed below and follow it religiously. This would be the sure way to your success in improving your golf swing.

The most important aspect in golf is positioning oneself. This is a factor which you should really concentrate in if you should be intending to improving your golf swing. What you will have to do is to imagine a parallel between the targeted flag and the ball. Now you should make sure that you are standing in parallel with this imaginary line. This is the first basic step and it is simple too.

The next important step is to hold the golf club correctly. There are three commonly used methods to hold it. They are Interlocking Grip, Overlapping Grip or Vardon and Baseball Grip. One of these methods, whichever should be convenient to you should be mastered correctly if you should look forward to improving your golf swing.

The first method in golf which can be used in improving the golf swing is the Overlapping Grip. In this method the right little finger is placed in between the middle and the index finger of the left hand. In Interlocking Grip, the right little finger and the index finger on the left hand are locked together. In Baseball Grip all the fingers are rapped around the club. This method is suitable for children and people with small hands.

The grip of the left hand would play a vital role in improving your golf swing. The left hand should take of holding the club and the shaft should lie across the fingers and the thumb should be placed over the fingers for more natural grip and support. The thumb of the right should point to the right shoulder.

The next and the most important technique of golf used in improving the golf swing is the maintenance of the stance. The distance between the legs should be as far as the shoulders. And again, the shoulders, hip, knee and the foot are supposed to be all parallel in order to have a nice good shot. At the same time, the upper part of the body should slightly lean to the front and the knees should be left relaxed in order to give it more strength to kick the ball.

Now comes the actual process of improving the golf swing. In order to adapt the right position, the body should be positioned such that the shoulder and the upper body do not move. Now, just the hand is rotated and then the whole body has to be turned as if in a swing. Continuous practice following these methods should be taken in order to see some good results.

There are thousands of methods used in improving the golf swing but the above discussed are the most common methods and techniques. You can adapt any of these methods and start reducing the hassle of playing golf wrongly. All that has to be done, in simple words, is practice, practice and practice. This way you are sure to win and practices for improving the golf swing would never go waste.
