Two Different Ways of Buying A Discount Golf Club

If you want to purchase a discount golf club you have several options. The first would be to purchase well-known brand on sale. The second method would to purchase a clone of the better known golf clubs. So, before you make up your mind on either way, you may want to learn about the differences in the two options and also learn which is the better option.

Buying A Cloned Golf Club

If you think that buying a clone of the original brand named golf club is an option, then look at the PC market where cloning is very normal. Therefore, the end product will look and play much like the original item. However there may not be many extras available with cloned golf clubs.

Keep in mind, that the cloned golf club will use the same components as that of the original. They are also put together much like the original product, but will not have the luxury of the brand name, which is what attracts some buyers. Nevertheless, cloned will make a good discount golf club because the price would be lower. How effective it will be will be proven can only be decided after putting it to use.

If the Discount golf club does not have any major flaws, then it can be a good buy. You have to balance out any superficial flaws such as surface marks or if the item is in fact as good a quality as the brand name item.

No doubt, you can also get a discount golf club that is not a clone at reduced prices. You will need to still ensure that they do not contain major flaws, that can make the price that you pay is a waste of money. Only when the defect is slight and the price is low, will such a discount golf club prove to be a bargain buy.

Another factor that you should look at when buying a cloned discount golf club is to ensure that you only buy from a registered dealer of the original brand name because most cloned golf clubs originate from Asia and these are often even being sold as the real thing. Thus, you would do well to steer clear of a discount golf club that is being touted as ‘just like the original’ and being sold at very low prices.

Many times, the golf club manufactures would offer a discount club when a newer model becomes available on the market. The best way to watch for this is to read and follow magazines and reviews, then look to your local store for the previous model. They may want to move the stock to allow them to have the new model while its featured in the press.

Therefore it comes down to buyer beware with buying a discount golf club. You want to get the best deal possible at the same time the statement “buyer beware” – if it looks to good to be true it probably is.

Improve Your Golf Swing And Play Better Golf

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Most golfers would like to improve their golf swing to some degree, but with so many books and guides to choose from how do you know which would be best suited to you. This article takes a look at one such guide which has been very popular in recent times.

David Nevogt wrote The Simple Swing in 2006 and in a short space of time was read by people from all over the world. The claims the author makes about what you can achieve by reading this book are pretty substantial. Claims such as an average golfer will be able to cut 7 strokes from their game and a high handicapper even more. David even claims a 95% success rate for these results.

Apparently the biggest problems that golfers have when it comes to their game are slicing the ball, not hitting the ball far enough or general inconsistency. David decided to try and develop a more simple swing (I suppose less can go wrong if you don’t have as much to think about) that would get rid of these problems for the majority of golfers. He addressed this task in a scientific way and the result was The Simple Swing.

I took up golf fairly late in life – in my late thirties to be precise. I started playing with a friend of mine and it was this friend who first introduced me to The Simple Golf Swing. We used to play together quite reglarly and were around the same mediocre level. We both used to score in the low nineties but couldn’t get below the magic 90. Then one day having not played together for a few weeks we played at our local club and to say I was shocked was an understatement.

My friend had the round of his life and shot 84. I thought it was just luck but then he told me about this book he’d bought online and how he’d been practising the techniques so of course I went straight home and got a copy for myself and the rest as they say is history.

In no time I was scoring in the mid eighties – still hadn’t broken 80 – and I was over the moon. I was more consistent and my drives were longer, it was just fantastic. Some of the things that David teaches you seem to be the opposite of what you would expect. One of the these involves a technique which reduces your backswing. This may sound strange but the result is that your drives go further! And there’s also a nifty method which enables you to hit more greens.

There are lots of testimonials on David’s website from golfers who claim to have had amazing results. I have to say I was skeptical, but reassured by the no questions asked money back guarantee if not happy after 8 weeks.

The Simple Swing really is an excellent book and really stands out from the crowd. It is written in easy to understand language and rates a perfect 10 as far as I am concerned.

Being born with the left hand as your master hand can both be a blessing and a curse. You can get around most things, such as left handed desks, and writing with your left had. When it comes to left handed golf club sets, it becomes a pain being a lefty.

Many major companies are making quality left-handed golf club sets, for both the amateurs and the professionals a like. It is important to get the right left handed golf club set that fits you style of game as whether you are right or left handed you can slice the ball either way!.

Callaway, Mizuno, Ping and Nike actually make both right and left handed golf club sets. Demand for the left handed versions is less, due to the number of players being less in the golf market.

Does it cost more to a lefty?

Even though the demand for left handed golf club sets is less, it is no more expensive than the normal right handed clubs. As a matter of fact left handed golf club sets costs pretty much the same as right handed ones.

Getting Custom Made Left handed Golf Clubs

Just like standard golf clubs, left-handed golf club sets can be custom made and designed for the player. All you need is the golfers details including the following: gender, height, weight, distance from the golfer’s wrist to the floor, speed of swing, age, handicap, plus what club is being used on the 150 yard mark, to make the changes.

Custom made left handed golf club sets are more expensive but it can be worth the money for the enjoyment of the game. Usually the appropriate golf club set can improve a golfer’s game keep him out of the bunkers and get him back to clubhouse in a better mood to met up with his right handed friends.

Many players enthusiastically buy new clubs sets, including those left handers to find that the game requires concentration and skills that they don’t have. If you’re thinking that some of the golf dreamers are left handed then your definitely right. This allows you to find bargains gathering dust in the back of garages.

So watch out for garage sales, because if they won’t sell those dust gathering golf sets then their wives probably will. And the greatest part is that they will probably sell those left handed gold club sets for a fraction of the original price just to get them out of the way. A bonus for you and a win for space from the previous owner!

A Special Club to Give you a Powerful Swing

A great help to anyone starting the game of golf is the example of people who are good at it about how to play the game and particularly how to execute a good drive. And when a new golfer watches the pros play, often the thing that is most desirable in their style of play is that very powerful swing and the fast drive that they can use to make that golf ball disappear into the air. So the goal of making your own swing reach a level that you can drive with not only precision but that much power is often at the top of a new golfers list. And having a great golf swing high on your priority list is appropriate because one of the pieces of equipment that is perfect for the new golfer is the golf training club which is focused entirely on a powerful swing.

The internet is full of sites that will sell you great golf training clubs of all kinds and the different models and goals of different ones is really amazing to browse. But to get that powerful swing we want, a weighted club is perfect because it can be used to exactly duplicate your swing during play but to do so while adding weight for resistance which creates stress on those muscles. This is an ideal work out because you are not only improving your swing but focusing on the muscles that are used for a fast drive but also introducing a weight training aspect to your trial swings with the training club.

The two outcomes of using a golf training club will be an initial soreness as those muscles needed to drive the ball long distances get a workout. But then you will see a noticeable improvement in your ability to get that ball much further down the green on the drive which will improve your golf scores. But you will also notice a lot more muscle flexibility both in the backswing and as you follow through the swing process. This flexibility combined with the additional strength you will put into your swing will change your game for the better.

This is not to say that just working out with a weighted golf training club will take you from out of shape to fit in every respect. If you are enjoying golf for the health benefits, you will still need to work on your overall fitness to build stamina and address specific physical problems you may notice now that you are active athletically playing golf.

Starting to enjoy the game of golf is in fact starting a life of physical fitness so to be smart and do so thinking of physical fitness in a general way and include exercise and diet that will make you fit for life and fit for golf. The golf training club has some real value for muscle development and toning but it isn’t the end all and be all of your approach to being fit and trim for the game. By getting the help you need to exercise your lower back and legs and to get a good aerobic workout regularly you will see your overall state of physical prowess improve which will have an influence on your golf prowess on the greens.

You can use your golf training club anytime it fits your schedule but try to plan a little time before each game to put it to use. You don’t need some specialized place so any out of the way slice of grass is a good place for you to take the training club and get some exercise with some test drives. The result is the muscles most needed for your drive will be limber and exercised and ready to perform at their best even on the first drive of the game. This is an excellent way to be “game ready” so you step out there and perform at your best for a full day of golf.

It’s a good idea to get some coaching in using any form of weight training to avoid injury. Your golf pro can help you learn to work out with your golf training club but also to use the golf clubs that you use for play as part of preparation for the game as well. By adding test swings with your regular clubs after using the training club, you get your physical balance to your actual golf clubs in place before the game. Don’t go overboard using the golf training club and use some common sense using it. This is especially true before play so you don’t step out onto the first green already tired and feeling muscle strain from your preparations.

You might see a training club as something necessary in your first months of golfing. And it is a valuable tool to gain strength and build your physical approach to the game in the first year of play. But you may find that you will keep the training club around for a long time even after you are an “old pro” at golf. By keeping your muscles in good shape, well limbered and toned both through your routine exercise and using the golf training club, you will sustain a consistently powerful and precise swing that will cut numbers off of your golf score.
