I have been giving golf lessons for the past 15 years, and because of this I have been trying out training aids to help make my lessons for effective. I have tried the Leadbetter Swing Setter, the Fix A Swing, the Gyro Swing and many other different types of aids that have had mixed results. Some have been more than worth the money, others have made it into the dumpster after the first couple of swings.
Today I would like to tell you all about the Matzie ASSIST swing trainer. I have used this product for over a month now at The Villages of Terra Vista at Citrus Hills and the results have been positive. Matzie has brought a very competent product to the golf market and hopefully I will help you make the decision to try this new training aid.
The ASSIST immediately helped me and my students with Tempo. It’s amazing that even after 30 years of playing golf that you can get rusty when you don’t practice the basic fundamentals of your golf swing. Because of the ASSIST’s heavy weight, it helps you remember to pause at the top of your swing. It reminds you to extend through the ball, and to finish with your hands high, not yanked across the body, which usually results in either a pull-hook or a heeled slice. I had five of my students take the ASSIST home and spend fifteen to thirty minutes a day with it after each golf lesson and they are all hitting the golf ball much better. Each one of the five students using the ASSIST is now hitting the ball straighter, longer, and more accurately because of the ASSIST.
After doing some research, I have found that the ASSIST is virtually indestructible. There are no hinges or weak points to break or fail on this swing trainer. You would have to purposely try to break this product by beating it repeatedly against a stump or perhaps running it over with a bulldozer would work.
I at first thought the molded grip was a bit “too much,” i.e. the right hand was placed to some extent too much under the golf club shaft, but my own knowledge convinced me that my own grip was “weak” and would advantage from an adjustment. This proved to be true. If a purchaser does not like the grip, perhaps a golf pro should be consulted. In any case, if the purchaser does not want to get in to changing his or her grip, it is easy enough to have a regular grip put on!
Over all I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a golf swing aid. It is an incredible swing training aid and has the ability to help cure even the nastiest golf swing habits.

I have to say that I do not think I have ever seen a professional golfer wearing something that you could be seen dead in anywhere outside of the golf course. So why do all of these golfers actually put on all of this rubbish when they hit the courses?
Sponsorships
Most of the professionals have many deals with clothing companies which is why they are always wearing stupid branded products. Of course they do get a couple of million every single year because of it so perhaps turning up in those awful pink striped trousers is worth it.
Not Club Policy Surely
There are so many people out there that do not like their golfers turning up in poor looking clothes. The very top level clubs will often expect the people entering the course to make sure they are wearing the right clothing, pretty sad really.
Arrogance
Some of it is to do with the sport. Many people who play in the top clubs are rich and very stuck up and wearing these kinds of crazy clothes is just another sign of these people being posh and showing off how much money they have. It really is quite upsetting that this kind of thing goes on because golf is such a calming sport.
Laughable
Whenever I see my father walking out of the door on the way to play golf I have to say that along with the UPS batteries and 12v batteries for his golf trolleys I have to say that he looks absolutely ridiculous! I really do not know the reason why so many golf clubs set restrictions on what you have to wear. I can understand them stopping people from wearing jeans and trainers as golf does have some levels of standards but making people wear stupid outfits has always been beyond me.
So what do you personally think on it all, do you feel that golfers fashion is way out of hand or do you actually think that when they walk onto the courses in their pink and yellow colours looking like Mr Blobby that it looks okay?

Taylor Made Golf Clubs - On Sales!
There are a few different golf swing fundamentals that must be learned in order to have the best golf game. One of the most important of all the golf swing fundamentals is posture. Without these golf swing fundamentals you are never going to have the best game and you are going to be struggling. Each is important in its own way and should be focused on separately.
The first starting place when it comes to golfing swing basics is the grip which is how you hold the club. While there are one or two different grips that you may use, the most usually used and usually best is the interlocking grip. If you do this then you’ll be off balance and as a consequence your posture is going to be off also. Then for the golfing swing basics there’s the posture which makes reference to how you stand when you take your swing.
If you want to be able to cover the golf swing fundamentals and in this case posture, another helpful tip is to let your arms hang naturally down. When you do this you are going to get the chance to see where they hang and this will place the butt-end of the handle about a fist away from your body. In turn this means that you are going to be able to more easily swing your arms back and through, rather than being stuck or feeling as though you do not have enough room which is often the case. Then for the golf swing fundamentals there is alignment and one great tip to help here is to pick out a target and then stop to see where you are aimed and you will be able to tell if you are aligned properly or not.
Also included in the basic golf swing fundamentals is the mental side of things. That is the great thing about golf is that you can always work on your game and there is always room for improvement. The tricky part is learning how to remember all of the skills but then not think about it too much when you are playing. But with a bit of practice you are going to find that it all comes naturally and you are going to greatly improve your game.

These holidays appeal to all of us avid golfers, it is just making the decision on a place to holiday. So now all you need to do is find some great golf courses, and there in lies the problem? If you are having trouble finding yourself a holiday, then maybe you can make your mind up by looking at these tops!
The USA is a great place to start with these Golf Courses, after all the majority of them are situated here. Pinewood Village Golf Club is the most recognised and famous golf course in the world, known to be the place for those that are famous to travel. This course received its Gold course level ages ago, and not to mention that it has been able to retain the top spot as the number 1 golf course for over 19 years.
Next up on our list is the Cypress Point Club. If you would like to tour a pretty golf course with a gorgeous setting then this is the one for you to try. In California it has been placed in just the right place between the ocean blue and the greenest land around. This is beautifully put together with the seams between artificial bunkers and the naturally green grass completely well joined together.
If you want something on a different continent, then you should take a peek at the St Andrews Golf Course for a different view. This is listed as the world’s number three golf course and is the oldest in Europe. Scotland, but to be precise it is in Fife. When you really drill down to where one of the best golf courses in the world should be, then it should realistically be in Scotland, and this is where are number two is based.
Maybe now you have some sort of choice of where you would like to go on a special Golf holidays, these greatest are just the tip of the ice berg, Caribbean Golf holidays are also very popular, but pale in comparison to USA Golf holidays demand.
