Golf rain gear is essentially used by golfers when the weather is wet. Especially if you play in the northern states that get a lot of rain. Sometimes we dont have a choice but to tough it out through some soggy rounds

The good news for us weather never-minding golf fanatics is that there any products available to keep our heads dry and our swing unencumbered. The bad news is it can be quite expensive to shop for, if one is unwary. Worry not, though! Golf Guru Guy is on the job, and I’ve got quite the selection for you in our rain gear section.

The obvious items a golfer in the rain needs are a good raincoat and hat. The best fabric is made of Gore-tex, but it Aint cheap. The coat alone could cost you hundreds, with the bucket hats not much cheaper (You think they would get an ugliness discount, but no). Weve seen coats going for as low as $129 that are up to the challenge, as well as some goats. Now, following is a list of a few other items you will need.

The Bag: You want a golf bag that keeps everything dry, from your clubs to that iPod you’d rather not have in your pants while you’re trying to fetch a ball out of a water trap. It’s an essential part of the wet-yip’s arsenal. After all, there’s nothing worse than letting your phone get rained on. Except maybe running it through the wash. Not that I have experience with that, of course…

Fancy Globes for Fancy Men! Those leather gloves of yours may be fine dandy when its dry, Mr. Fancy Pant, but in the rain they become a liability. Once soaked, your grip will be ruined. To prevent you from sending your sand wedge out of the trap with the ball (Just wanted to make sure the ball didnt get any ideas! Right), a pair of rain gloves will go a long way. They grip better the more waterlogged they are, so youll be praying for a monsoon!

Wet Shoes for Dry Feet: Golf shoes that are waterproof are priceless (Though we still managed to find a few good deals for you), as they keep your feet dry and they’re usually guaranteed, to boot! So, even if they do get wet, you’re covered. Just keep the receipt! As your Vietnam veteran golf buddies will tell you, “Keep your feet dry.” Be sure to invest in more than one pair to make sure the shoes have time to dry between rounds, and bring extra socks! Lieutenant Dan will tell you that there’s no such thing as too many socks!

Wind-Proof Umbrellas: Durable golf umbrellas are a must for players seriously considering braving the storm. What better way to keep your equipment dry than to not let it get wet the first place? If youre going to get one, be sure it has vents on the top to keep it from inverting at the worst possible moment.

Well, you can go nuts, but these are the essentials you need to keep that great round going, no matter what Mother Nature has in store for your round Decent golf rain gear is essential if like me, youre mad for golf and play all year round.
